DESTINATION
Pench Tiger Reserve (Maharashtra)
Nagpur District, Maharashtra
The quieter, southern half of the same Pench forest belt — teak and bamboo country just across the border from Madhya Pradesh, entered through the Sillari and Khursapar gates. Fewer vehicles per zone than the MP side, with the shortest drive of any tiger reserve from Nagpur city.

Plan a safari hereWhat's different about the Maharashtra side of Pench?
Same forest and tiger population as the Madhya Pradesh side, but entered through Sillari and Khursapar — it's the closest tiger-reserve gate to Nagpur city, and typically quieter than the Turia side.
Can I combine this with Tadoba?
Yes — being on the Maharashtra side, it pairs naturally with Tadoba-Andhari on a single road circuit without crossing back into Madhya Pradesh.
Which gate should I use — Sillari or Khursapar?
Sillari is the main, better-established gate with more lodge options nearby; Khursapar sees noticeably fewer vehicles if a quieter drive matters more to you than convenience.
Is accommodation available near these gates?
Yes — a small cluster of eco-lodges has grown up around Sillari specifically to serve this side of the reserve; we book these directly rather than the larger MP-side properties.
How many safaris can I fit in here?
Two safaris a day (dawn and afternoon) is standard, the same as every other reserve we run — most guests spend one to two nights on this side.
