DESTINATION

Gorewada International Zoo & Safari

Nagpur city

Not a wild reserve — a large managed zoo and safari park inside Nagpur itself, built around separate drive-through zones for tigers, lions, leopards and herbivores. We suggest it for a layover day, a family-friendly warm-up before wild safaris, or when weather closes the core zones elsewhere.

Plan a safari here
Is this a substitute for a wild safari?

No, and we're upfront about that — animals here are in large managed enclosures, not free-ranging forest. It's a strong add-on, not a replacement.

Why would I visit if I'm already doing wild safaris?

It's ideal for a short layover in Nagpur, or for families travelling with young children who want a guaranteed, low-intensity wildlife morning.

How long does a full visit take?

Around three to four hours covers all four drive-through zones at a comfortable pace, including stops for photos at each enclosure.

Can I see all four safari zones in one visit?

Yes — Tiger, Leopard, Bear and Herbivore Safari are all bookable in a single visit, and we typically sequence all four into one morning or afternoon slot.

Is Gorewada open during the monsoon?

Yes — unlike the wild core zones, Gorewada stays open year-round, which makes it a reliable fallback if you're travelling between July and September.
