Wildlife Photography Tours
Built for photographers who've outgrown the standard safari. Every vehicle is modified for glass — bean-bag rests, low-profile seating, extra room to swing a 600mm lens — and every drive is timed around light, not just wildlife activity. Groups are capped at four photographers per gypsy, led by our photography lead Katherine Wells, a former wildlife photojournalist who plans routes around where the light will actually be good, not just where a sighting happened yesterday. We also hold priority slots in our waterhole hides, run an evening image review most nights, and can arrange a genuinely private vehicle for guests who don't want to share position on a sighting with anyone.

ITINERARY

Day 1
Arrive, equipment check and route briefing, then an afternoon orientation drive to learn the terrain and light.

Dawn drive at first light, midday rest, afternoon session ending in a waterhole hide through dusk.

Day 3
Full-day session in a second zone, chasing a specific subject — big cat, raptor, or herd behaviour — agreed the night before.

Dawn hide session for reflection shots, then an evening image review and edit workshop.

Final dawn drive for any subjects still on the list, then transfer out.

Yes — we don't rent camera bodies or lenses, but we can arrange a spare bean-bag, monopod or rain cover, and our guide will help you choose settings for the light on any given drive.
Is four photographers per vehicle a hard limit?
It's our standard cap because more than that means someone's always shooting over a shoulder. We can arrange a fully private vehicle — just you and the naturalist — for an additional fee.
Which parks are best for photography?
Tadoba's open teak forest gives the cleanest sightlines, and Kanha's grassland meadows are strong for backlit shots at dawn. We'll route your trip around the light and subjects you want most.
What's the evening review session like?
An informal hour going through the day's images with Katherine — composition, exposure calls, and what to watch for on the next drive. Entirely optional, but most guests find it's where the real improvement happens.
Can I request a specific subject, like a particular tiger or a raptor species?
Yes — tell us the target the night before or during your pre-trip planning call, and we'll route the next drive around known territories and recent sightings for that subject.
